Choosing to have a celebrant led wedding ceremony will give you the freedom to celebrate your union, whenever and whenever you like! The ceremony will be truly unique and personal, like your own relationship. It can contain traditional elements or more quirky components, whatever you both want, it can be included. I will only commit to one wedding ceremony in a day, allowing me to be completely committed to your ceremony.
I will be there throughout the day, working closing with other staff to ensure you have a flawless ceremony.
In England, civil celebrants cannot yet carry out the legal aspects of a wedding ceremony. This will need to be completed separately, with most couples visiting the local registry office prior to their celebrant led ceremony. By completing the legal aspects first, it means the possibilities for your ceremony are endless in terms of location, timing and content of the ceremony.
There are a number of ceremonies to choose from depending on your circumstances. We can discuss in detail which one will be right for you as a couple. The different types of ceremonies are:
Vow Renewal
Vow Renewal ceremonies offer the opportunity to re-affirm the commitments made on the day of your wedding or civil partnership. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the life you have lived together and to look ahead to a bright future.
Wedding
Celebration Ceremony
This ceremony has the look and feel of a traditional wedding but does not cover the legal aspects of marriage (this must be carried out before). This allows you to carry out your wedding at a location of choice, using wording and rituals that reflect the individuality of your relationship.
Elopement Ceremony
This ceremony has the look and feel of a traditional wedding but on a more intermate scale. The ceremony could just be the couple or a small number of guests, at a location of choice, using wording and rituals that reflect the individuality of your relationship.
Commitment Ceremony
A Commitment Ceremony is designed for couples who wish to celebrate their relationship and commitment to each other, without entering into a legal union. The ceremony gives you the opportunity to exchange rings and make promises to each other and can include rituals such as hand fasting. There is no requirement to undertake a legally binding ceremony prior to your commitment ceremony.
Civil Partnership Celebration Ceremony
If you have chosen to enter a legal civil partnership this ceremony then allows you to conduct a celebration of this union anywhere you like. This has the look and feel of a traditional civil partnership ceremony but does not cover the legal aspects (this must be carried out before). The ceremony can be totally personalised such as the words surrounding the exchanging of vows and the content of the ceremony to include rituals, readings and music.
